In Search of the Missing Mass |
|||||||||||||||||||||
Assume the critical mass in the universe to be exactly
Omega=1.000.
Could it be that mankind is then in a position to influence the
ultimate fate of the universe?
If we conserve mass, the universe will close and creation will
repeat itself.
If we transform matter into energy as we are doing now, we topple
the delicate balance towards the definitive heat-death of the
universe by our tiny contribution to chaos. The "open
universe" as a consequence of the second law of
thermodynamics!
