Economy And Population

Too many people produce too much waste gases, waste water and other waste. However, too few are willing to reduce their standard of living.

There seem to be two escape routes out of this dilemma:

Either it's back to less production and less consumption, i.e. back to the standard of the past or, better yet much fewer people.

I wish to serve an economy whose growth is in quality rather than quantity.
I believe in the innovative power of small units of enterprise - because of their flexibility.
In the long run, however a reduction of global population is far more reasonable than any patchwork measure to fight the symptoms.
We have not only inherited the earth from our forefathers, we are also borrowing it from our children.
The constant bickering about the loss of consumers when a country shows no population increase, or when a city has lost 3% of its population is more than just ridiculous: it is an attitude showing the tacit acceptance of gradual destruction.

Mankind's survival is not threatened by a population decrease - as has been claimed by the media - but by the current exponential population growth.
