Error of Nature or Nature's Revenge?Number 12 in a Series on Occidental Taboos | ![]() |
The perception of lust during the act of human reproduction and the satisfaction we experience when stilling hunger or quenching thirst are all part of life's methods to ensure survival of the species. Has the pleasure of sex reversed its effect? Apparently, we have succeeded to remove ourselves from the natural mechanisms of population regulation while still enjoying the priviledge of sexual pleasure. The net result is contrary to nature's plan of evolution. Our unbalanced numerical growth points towards the gradual disappearance of life on earth.
Sexual pleasure is no longer needed to ensure our survival, but it certainly contributes to our demise.
An error of nature?
The threat of the immune deficiency virus is forcing those same Africans to use condoms that are suffering the most from the population catastrophe. Is this the Gaia way to enforce population control?
To ensure the survival of the race, nature has coupled pleasure with those activities that appear animalistic and backward to the humanist:
Without the joy of eating, many more people would have died of hunger than merely from the lack of food.
The real problem and the basic error of Gaia may well be the
coupling of lust with the act of human reproduction.
Without it, there would be no population pressure that is now
driving the world to the rim of the abyss.
Of course, sexual pleasure has accompanied the act of
reproduction since the dawn of mankind. However with the
uncontrolled increase in life expectancy, the gift of an
individual's sexual pleasure has turned into a punishment for the
race.
How many males would want children if their contribution in
making them would hurt?
Is the Catholic Church right after all with its fanatic
damnation of those worldly pleasures?
Are they advocating the right thing despite their crusade against
population control?
