Universal

Remember the glass Earth with the airplane circling it on a background of stars?
That was in the Nineteen-Fifties.
It was followed by another glass planet, but the plane had gone.
Then came a more realistic planet Earth with the name Universal circling it, now in colour.
This planet was without any clouds, but showed details of a starry background including nebulae.
The latest Universal opener is the silliest yet:
Planet Earth is shown as one would imagine it after World War Three, with radiation oozing out of its surface. The atmosphere is gone, but the galactic background is still there.
How scary can they make the next one?
